Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow Walkthrough

Here is a walkthrough of the three current versions of Pokemon, things that say "Yellow only" are tips only for Pokemon Yellow. 

Things that have next to them are special little tips from me! Now let's get started!

Pallet Town:

Choose one of the three Pokemon from Professor Oak's lab, and battle your Rival.        

Yellow only: Get Pikachu from Professor Oak and battle Gary.         

Route 1: Pallet Town to Viridian city

Viridian City:  

Pick up Professor Oak's Parcel at the Poke-mart. Then head back to his lab in Pallet Town. (Take Route one)

Pallet Town: 

Give the parcel to Professor Oak and get a Pokedex in return.

Pick up a town map from your Rival's sister.

Route 1: Pallet town to Viridian City.

Viridian City:

 Heal your Pokemon and pick up any supplies needed for your trip through Viridian Forest (Pokeballs, Potions, ect.)

Route 2: Viridian City to Pewter City. (Viridian Forest)

Pewter City:

Defeat Brock at the Pewter City gym and get the Boulder Badge.

Route 3: Pewter City to Mt. Moon 

  Heal your Pokemon at the center outside Mt. Moon, they'll need lots of rest before the trip through the mountain.

Route 4: Mt. Moon to Cerulean City

Cerulean City:

Defeat Misty at the Cerulean City gym and get the Cascade Badge.

Yellow Only: If your Pikachu is very healthy and happy a Trainer in a house will give you Bulbasaur.

 Routes 24 and 25: Cerulean City to Bill's House.

Yellow only: On routes 24 and 25 there's this guy willing to give up his Charmander, no special Pikachu treatment required.

Help Bill, get the S.S. Ticket, and  check out the Pokemon on his computer.

Routes 24 and 25: Bill's House to Cerulean City.

Cerulean City:

Take the Underground Path to Vermillion City.

Vermillion City:

Pick up HM 01 from Captain of the S.S. Anne

Defeat Lt. Surge and get the Thunder Badge.

Yellow only: After you win the Thunder Badge get Squirtle from the girl in the center of Vermillion City

Get the Bike Voucher from the President of the Pokemon Fan Club.

Route 11 to Diglett's Cave (Leads to the other side of route 2)

Route 2:

Pick up HM 05

 Diglett's Cave to Route 11 then to Vermillion City

Vermillion City

Route 6 to the Underground Path to Cerulean City

Cerulean City:

Get the Bicycle with the Bike Voucher

Route 9: Cerulean City to Rock Tunnel

Rock Tunnel:

Make sure you have a Pokemon that knows HM 05 (Flash) you'll need it for the dark Tunnel. Rest your pokemon at the center outside too.

Route 10: Rock Tunnel to Lavender Town

Lavender Town:

Underground Path: Lavender Town to Celadon City.

Celadon City

Defeat Erika at the Celadon City gym and get the Rainbow Badge

Get the Silph Scope from the Rocket Game Corner

Buy a Soda Pop from the Vending Machines on the rooftop of Celadon Department store.

  There's a door at the back of Celadon Mansion, go in that way and  all the way up the steps to another little room where there's an Eevee in a pokeball on the table.

Underground Path: Celadon city to Lavender Town

Lavender Town:

Rescue Mr. Fuji from Pokemon Tower and you'll receive the Poke Flute

Route 8: Lavender Town to Saffron City

Give the soda pop you bought to the guard and he will let you pass.

Saffron City:

Rescue the President of Silph Co. and receive a Master Ball

Defeat Sabrina at the Saffron Gym and receive the Marsh Badge

Route 7: Saffron City to Celadon City

Celadon  City to Route 16

Route 16 

Wake the Snorlax!

Get HM 02 from the house behind the bushes

Route 7 to Saffron City

Route 8: Saffron City to Lavender Town. 

Lavender Town to Route 12

Route 12

Wake the Snorlax!

Routes 13, 14, and 15: The Docks

Fuchsia City

Defeat Koga at the Fuchsia City Gym and get the Soul Badge.

Pick up HM 03 and the Gold Teeth in the Safari Zone

Exchange the Gold Teeth for HM 04 with the Game Warden

Route 19: Fuchsia City to the Seafoam Islands

Route 20: Seafoam Islands to Pallet Town

Cinnabar Island

Find the Secret Key in the Pokemon House

The Secret Key is in the Basement!

Defeat Blaine at the Cinnabar Island Gym and get the Volcano Badge

Route 21: Cinnabar Island to Pallet Town 

Pallet Town and Route 1 to Viridian City

Viridian City

Defeat Giovanni, leader of Team Rocket, at the Viridian City Gym and get the Earth Badge.

Route 22 and 23: Viridian City to Victory Road.

Indigo Plateau

You have to fight the Elite Four one after another their pokemon range between the levels of 60 and 70.

Defeat the Elite Four, one after another

Defeat your rival one last time

Become a Master Pokemon Trainer
